I’m Jemma Carpenter—a devoted dog lover and the trainer behind Out the Dog House. With certifications in canine coaching and behaviour, my journey began with a simple goal: to transform traditional dog training into a celebration of the incredible bond between humans and their dogs.
My inspiration comes from my own experiences as a dog owner. Over the years, I’ve seen firsthand the powerful impact that positive reinforcement and play can have on a dog’s behaviour and emotional well-being. That’s what led me to create Out the Dog House—a space where both dogs and their humans can learn, grow, and truly thrive together.

Game-Based Training: Where Learning and Fun Unite
At Out the Dog House, I take a unique approach to training through innovative, game-based methods. I believe dogs are naturally curious, intelligent, and eager to learn—and that training should reflect that.
I design interactive games that challenge your dog’s mind and body, making each session both engaging and effective. These games not only keep your dog mentally stimulated, but also create countless opportunities for rewards and positive interaction.
Every dog is different, which is why I tailor each activity to suit your dog’s unique personality, needs, and learning pace. From problem-solving puzzles to scent-tracking adventures, each session is a fun and fulfilling experience that builds your dog’s confidence and deepens the bond you share.
Pawsitive Connection through Play
At the heart of my philosophy is the belief that dogs thrive when learning is fun and rewarding. Gone are the days of harsh discipline and dominance-based training methods. I champion positive reinforcement—a scientifically proven approach that celebrates and rewards the behaviours we want to see more of.
By creating an environment built on trust, respect, and understanding, I help both dogs and their owners feel empowered. The result? Confident, well-mannered, and happy dogs—and stronger relationships that last a lifetime.
Our Commitment: A Journey of Lifelong Learning
At Out the Dog House, I believe learning is a lifelong journey—for both dogs and their humans. My commitment doesn’t end with the training sessions. I offer ongoing support through resources, workshops, and guidance to help you continue building positive behaviours at home with confidence.
I envision a world where every dog enjoys a life filled with joy, love, and true companionship. Out the Dog House isn’t just a training business—it’s a movement to reshape the way we connect with our four-legged friends.
